Emma Stone recently hit the red carpet at the 98th Academy Awards, where she will compete for the Best Actress award for her role in Yorgos Lanthimos. Bugonia<\/em>. If she wins tonight, it will be her third time picking up the trophy, but in my opinion, she deserves a fourth just for making it a curvy little bob-length and successfully avoiding the awkward growth phase that follows a pixie cut.<\/p>\n

Tonight, Stone wore a sparkling Louis Vuitton dress with short sleeves and a square neckline. She hit the carpet wearing minimal make-up, save for a blue lip color, and as always, tapped celebrity hairstylist and founder of R\u014cZ Hair, Mara Roszak, to do her hair for the evening. After spending the last year giving us all a masterclass in how to grow out a pixie cut (which she debuted at last year’s Golden Globe Awards), Stone is now an official resident of bob-land, and her jaw-length hair is styled with a slight flip at the end and a deep side part.<\/p>\n

“For the Oscars, I wanted a ’90s vibe and soft movement in Emma’s bob, keeping it feeling fresh, modern, and full,” Roszak said in a statement. “The look was polished but effortless\u2014soft volume, subtle curves, natural volume and subtle brushing.”<\/p>\n

Bobs are already showing up everywhere on the red carpet tonight, which isn’t surprising considering it’s been the hairstyle of choice for Hollywood women for the past year. He’s dark-ish<\/em> alum, Marsai Martin, appeared tonight in a slightly tousled angular bob while Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine arrived in a chin-length, flippy bob. Isabela Merced also showed off her hair in a fringed, chin-length bob with a blunt bang, a testament to how versatile the trend really is. “Customers love it because it feels fresh, fun, and easy to personalize,” hairstylist Juan Flores previously said.
